turned on me head

Updated: Mar 12, 2018
Monday was spent fettling and Tuesday reaped the benefits with some improved braking. Wednesday saw a usual ride of 30 miles but Thursday was a day off due to a fall at work in the brief period of heavy snow. Friday saw the first sighting of my bare legs lovely haha. Saturday I was out on the Lopro green meanie TT trike but was seriously missing any speed. Sunday ah Sunday day of the Sheffield Magnificent seven ride and a very early start (can't have it all) twenty-seven miles and four thousand odd feet of hills.
A loop to warm up everyones legs saw my first trikie collision (with another cyclist) and both of us on the ground (ouch) a sore catch-up was made and the climbing commenced. First hill I can't remember as such (oops) but it gave me enough confidence to tackle the second. Second hill I decided that I might have made a mistake but the cowbell ringers spurred me on and on and on till the top. That was the worst out of the way I was told so I'll complete. Not so sure it was the truth though, nagging leg pain and the groin strain showing itself at every turn. Fifth hill I think I was last up so had a brief respite whilst no-one was looking then refreshed (relatively) completed. On the last climb I threw a sprint finish in for the crowds. So what do I know cheering spurs you on, cobbles are horrible, falling off hurts and the #MAG7 is a great event. Oh and I couldn't get off the bl~*dy thing at the finish as my right leg wouldn't support my weight or swing enough to get over the saddle, felt a right fool!

I think that's the cobbles behind me?

That one particularly shows some of the pain and effort.
