Better week this week, getting near 200 miles for the week and achieved 10,000 feet too. The weather seems to be turning for the better at last so hopefully improvements will continue. Finished the week with a slight flourish and tackled Troopers hill in Halifax a cobbled nightmare that has bit me before. Finally I have ridden it in one go I had to fight the steering every inch of the way as it tried to push me into the wall. About a two thirds

of the way up two local youngsters gave encouragement (no honestly they did) I had to resort to the granny ring before I even stated on the cobbles and still had to grind my way slowly up, the drive system catching and doing it's best to drive me into the walls unless I stood up and lent over the front wheel, not a great climbing technique. At the top a cat gave it's opinion (disdain) whilst I made the last few feet of ascent and then watched superiorily (what ever the word is) as I climbed off and sat on the kerb.

A loop was rode with some gingerly footed descents as a brake block had decided to leave the trike and I only had the less effective brake to stop (slow is more accurate) me. Not to worry spares were picked up afterwards from a fellow trikie which will make the other (main) trike a better climber.

You can see the height reached behind the trike in this second shot.
